Gunmen kill 68 people at Iraqi Sunni mosque, halting unity talks
At least 68 people died at the Musab bin Omair Mosque in the eastern Iraqi Diyala province during Friday prayers, when a suicide bomber burst in followed by gunmen. Sunni politicians reacted by withdrawing from the talks on forming a new unity government, although there were conflicting reports about who was behind the attack – Shiite sectarian militiamen or Islamic State terrorists.
