Gunmen with bomb vests kill 7 police at Samarra

ISIS Monday stepped up its terrorist attacks on central Iraq, when armed men wearing bomb vests attacked two police stations in the Shiite town of Samarra in central Iraq, killing seven police officers. Gunfights continued into the night. Earlier, ISIS fighters  cut the main Mosul-Baghdad highway by attacks on Iraqi army checkpoints near the oil city of Baiji.
