Hagel assures Gulf nothing to fear from US Iran policy

Chuck Hagel was the first US Defense Secretary to attend a meeting of GCC defense ministers in six years. Wednesday, he told the session in Jeddah, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince Salman, that the Gulf nations have nothing to fear from the Obama administrations’ policy of détente to Tehran.
