Hague resigns as UK foreign secretary amid cabinet reshuffle

Senior sources in London report that William Hague stepped down Monday as foreign secretary as at least 12 ministers will be leaving their posts in Prime Minister David Cameron’s reshuffle, labeled by the opposition Labor as “the massacre of the moderates.”  The leading candidate for foreign secretary is Defense Secretary Philip Hammond. Hague stays in the cabinet as Leader of the Commons.
