Haley: Russia and Iran to share blame for any chemical attacks by Assad
The US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley declared on Twitter that any chemical weapons attack by Bashar -Assad’s Syrian government on his own citizens “will be blamed on Assad but also on Russia and Iran who support him killing his own people.” Haley’s tweet ended with the words: “Stay tuned for more tomorrow.” It followed a White House warning that Assad would pay a heavy price if he again resorted to chemical weapons against his own people. The US military believes the preparations are similar to those made before the April 4 chemical weapons attack in Syria, which killed 87 people, including 30 children, following which the Trump administration fired 59 Tomahawk missiles against a Syrian air base.
