Hamas denies signing off on PLO truce consensus
Hamas envoy to Cairo Mussa Abu Marzuk and Gaza spokesman Sami Abu Zuhry denied the PLO secretary Yasser Abd Rabo’s claim earlier Tuesday that all the Palestinians organizations including Hamas and Islamic Jihad had undersigned a 24-72 hour halt in hostilities in the Gaza Strip. Rabo did not say when the truce would start, only that it may be extended to 72 hours and that the Palestinian Authority would use the lull to bring “Israel’s war criminals” to justice before proposals from the Palestinian side.
