Hamas pleads with Cairo to stop flooding its smuggling tunnels

The Palestinian extremist Hamas has formally requested that Egypt give up building a fish farming pool at the southern edge of the Gaza Strip, which borders on northern Sinai. According to Hamas, the pool is nothing but a cover for the flooding of the smuggling tunnels between Gaza and the peninsula. Destroying the tunnels, says the Palestinian group, would cut the enclave off from the “free world.”
