Hanegbi: Western intel can’t count on Iranian weapon “breakout” warning
Former Knesset Defense Committee chairman Tzahi Hanegbi contradicted White House spokesman Jay Carney who said the US had “eyes” and “visibility” inside Iran’s nuclear program and would know if Tehran had achieved “breakout” for acquiring a nuclear weapon. Carney said he was referring to Atomic Energy Agency inspectors. Hanegbi, one of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s closest advisers, said it was more likely Western intelligence would only have access to this vital piece of data after the event – not before.
