Israel’s Minister of Health Yakov Litzman and his wife have tested positive for coronavirus and are self-quarantined in compliance with his department’s guidelines. The minister feels fine and will carry on working as usual from home. People who have been in close contact with him have been tracked. Coronavirus claimed its 27th fatality early Thursday, a man of 77 with chronic illness. The number of confirmed cases rose overnight to 6,092, of whom 97 are seriously ill.
