Health Ministry halts coronavirus results after computer glitch

Some people may have received incorrect results from coronavirus tests conducted at 21 laboratories, due to a data error in the Health Ministry’s computer system, the ministry announced on Saturday. A temporary halt in the release of diagnoses was ordered. It is estimated that the glitch caused 8 errors from among the 6,000 tests conducted. The ministry said that its own teams and experts from the Prime Minister’s Office were called in to fix the malfunction. But lab work and the Magen David Adom teams of testers carried on as usual.
