High Court approves Palestinians’ entry to Israel for joint memorial ceremony

The High Court Tuesday overrode Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman’s decision to bar entry for 90 Palestinians seeking to join a group of bereaved Israeli families in an “alternative”  memorial ceremony for fallen soldiers on Wednesday. The judges said in their ruling: “Lieberman’s decision ignores the wishes of the bereaved families who, on both sides, sought to hold the memorial ceremony together, as in years past.” The court only stipulated that the Palestinians admitted to Israel must have no records of security offences. The annual “alternative” memorial ceremony takes place Tuesday evening at the Yehoshua park in Tel Aviv. Police will secure the venue to prevent clashes with protesters.

I am a realtor of the DEBKAfile. I understand the need for vigilant security by a small nation in a hostile neighborhood . I don’t get why 90 families that want to join other families grieving their losses together is a security offense. To me it appears to be the most appropriate Action towards peace, recognizing the other. Perhaps Lieberman has a place and a constituency. I appreciate we were in being an iconoclast in certain situations, however in this particular case but he tried to block the entry of peaceful individuals to participate in a peaceful ritual, he is way out of line and he gives all Jews and Israel is i I appreciate we were in being an iconoclast in certain situations, however in this particular case but he tried to block the entry of peaceful individuals to participate in a peaceful ritual, he is way out of line and he gives all Israelis and Jews a bad name. What earth could he be afraid of? Lieberman appears to be a hater, and an impediment any movement toward peace between neighbors .

1st of all there could be knife attacks from avengers….forgiveness is NOT easy outside of having the Holy Spirit in your heart…
2ndly the arabs want the the land back and jerusalem as their capital and that is NOT EVER going to happen thats why there has never been lasting peace, there demands are not possible, since God gave the land to the israelites through Joshua.
