Hizballah attacks rebels holding Syrian Zabadani

Hizballah has launched an all-out attack to oust rebel groups from Zabadani, one of the biggest towns of the Syrian Qalamoun Mts. on the Lebanese border, 50 km northwest of Damascus. Hizballah prepared the operation by sending quantities of weapons and ammunition into the arena in advance, and then shelling rebel positions with rockets and mortars. Zabadani once served HIzballah as a logistical hub for taking delivery of Iranian weapons.
