Hof Ashkelon, Netiv Haasara, Zikkim residents run for shelter

Warning of a “security incident” in their neighborhood Sunday alerted people living in the Ashkielon coastal district, Netiv Haasara and Zikim north of the Gaza Strip, who were told to stay indoors. A “security incident” is the IDF spokesman’s usual locution for a suspected infiltration of terrorists. Loud blasts sound in the area including shelling from Israeli Navy craft in the Mediterranean. Hamas has kept up its rocket barrage against border communities since early morning.
