Hollande: Iran must renounce nuclear weapons
On arrival in Israel Sunday, French President Francois Hollande declared: "France will maintain all its measures and sanctions until we are certain that Iran has renounced nuclear weapons.” He spoke at the start of a three-day state visit and talks with Israeli leaders, who have made it clear that the emerging deal emerging with the six world powers in Geneva is unacceptable. Hollande stressed ahead of those talks: "France will not make concessions on nuclear proliferation." DEBKAfile: The French president’s language means he adheres to French intelligence assessment that Iran has already obtained a nuclear weapon which dates from the time of his predecessor Nicolas Sarkozy.
