Housing minister Galant quits Kulanu, joins Likud

Housing Minister Yoav Galant, a former front-runner for IDF Chief of Staff, has joined Likud and quit the Kulanu Party after its leader, Treasury Minister Moshe Kahlon, is reported to have told him that he no longer represents that party. Galant, who is a member of the security and foreign affairs cabinet, often comments on matters of security. He announced Monday that he would run in the Likud primaries for a position on the Knesset list ahead of the April 9 general election.
