Hundreds killed, thousands wounded in Ecuador earthquake

Ecuador's President Rafael Correa announced Sunday that the earthquake that struck his country the previous day had resulted in 272 people killed, over 2,000 wounded and hundreds missing. The seismic incident that measured 7.8 on the Richter scale was followed by 55 aftershocks.
