Hundreds of Palestinians attack soldiers defending Israeli-Gaza border
Some 500 rioting Palestinians hurled rocks, burning tires and firebombs at soldiers guarding the Israeli-Gaza border on Saturday. Three grenades hit the Karny crossing. This incident came a day after the increasingly violent Friday outbreak, in which grenades, incendiary balloons and a pipe bomb were mixed in with the rocks and burning tires tossed across the border and injuring an Israeli officer. Three Palestinians were shot dead killed when Israeli soldiers broke up the mob of 15,000 who were rampaging at five points. A cluster of incendiary balloons reached Kiryat Gath.
