IDF brigade commander testifies that Hebron shooting was unjustified
The trial of IDF soldier Elor Azaria over the shooting of a subdued terrorist in Hebron continued on Wednesday. The commander of Azaria's brigade at the time of the incident, Colonel Yariv Ben-Ezra, who was the most senior commander on the ground, testified that to the best of his professional knowledge there was no justification for the shooting as there was no suspicion that the terrorist had an explosive device. He added that he was told by Azaria's battalion commander and company commander that the soldier had said "terrorists should die."
