IDF chief begins four-day working visit to the US

Maj.Gen Gadi Eisenkot, IDF chief of staff, arrived in the United States Sunday on an official four-day working visit as the guest of the Chairman of the Joint US Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford.
He will meet military and security officials in Utah, Florida and Washington to discuss shared security challenges, developments in regional security in the Middle East and military cooperation. Eisenkot, who received an honor guard at the Pentagon, is to visit the first operational squadron of F-35s stealth bombers at a Special Forces base in Florida and lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Deputy Chief of Staff Maj.-Gen. Yair Golan fills in for him during his absence.
