IDF chief: Combat motivation up among new intake – excepting high-income groups

IDF Chief of Staf. Lt. Gen. Aviv Kohavi on Wednesday noted  a rise in the motivation of young conscripts to join combat units. He said that 70 pc of the latest intake of new recruits ticked the combat unit box as  top preference for their military service. At the same time, he denigrated the finding that conscripts from the high-end districts of central Israel and high-earning families were not part of this trend.
