IDF chief of staff awards citations to classified intelligence units

Lieut. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, the IDF chief of staff, awarded a citation on Wednesday to the elite "Sayeret Matkal" unit and presented certificates of appreciation to a special operations unit and a technology unit of the intelligence branch. In the ceremony, Eisenkot said that the interaction between intelligence, technology and operational ability makes a major contribution to the IDF's combination of creative thought, understanding and valor. The head of the intelligence branch, Maj. Gen. Hertzi Halevy, and commanders and soldiers from the units also participated in the ceremony.
