IDF grounds tiny Sky Rider surveillance drones

Following two recent crashes, IDF Maj. Gen. Koby Barak decided Monday to ground all the IDF’s Sky Rider surveillance drones pending a probe. The drones crashed in the Bethlehem and Hebron districts and were quickly located. Sky Rider is designed for short-range reconnaissance missions. It is powered by an electric motor and a propeller and beams back images obtained by its cameras and sensors in real time
