IDF sets up new commando brigade

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gady Eisenkott announced Monday the creation of a new commando brigade amalgamating four existing elite units, Meglan, Duvdevan, Egoz and Rimon. It will be under the command of the Esh (98) Division. The new brigade is intended to streamline and improve the performance of special operations in times of crisis and buttress the infantry, special forces and the spearhead divisions.
