IDF soldier killed in training accident in the Golan

Corp. Vicheslav Georgi, 20, from Rishon Lezion, was killed Monday in a training accident at the E;-Furan base on the Golan. A member of the Golani Brigade, he was performing routine maintenance on a heavily armored Namer vehicle. Evacuated by helicopter, he was pronounced dead on arrival at the Rambam hospital. The IDF notified the family with condolences. An inquiry commission was appointed by OC Northern Command, Maj. Gen. Aviv Kochavi, to investigate the accident.
