IDF strikes Syrian military outpost to enforce Golan DMZ

In line with the new policy, Israeli forces struck back at a Syrian outpost Friday with artillery fire after stray mortar fire landed in the Golan buffer zone (DMZ) from a Syrian battle with rebel forces. The IDF spokesman stressed that, while not involved in Syria’s civil conflict, Israel continues to enforce the 1974 Disengagement Agreement with Syria and maintain the buffer zone. DEBKAfile: This was the first time the IDF had hit back for a Syrian shell landing in the buffer zone outside Israel’s Golan terrain. Read the DEBKAfile article of Friday, July 7 for background.

Pour it on em, IDF, . . . the “stray” was only a test to see if you were watching, looking, and being observant.

Stray rounds are never “stray” rounds, . . . they are intended, purposeful, and dedicated to a specific mission.

Don’t let em get away with it.

This is awfully commandeering from your position, not only the wrong idea but also your scream is whisper weak. Too much effort and for nothing. Ever envision to blame Titanic’s iceberg on Israel, for a change? 🙂

This was not quite a strike, it was more sort of a friendly remainder to cool down and pay a little more attention to where the demarcation line is.

About the Liberty incident of 50 years ago, president Johnson fully accepted the Israeli version of the tragic incident. Forget about it, keep your cool up and the beer much closer.

There are worse friendly fire incidents around that no one talks about.

If strays hit the DMZ, buffer zone, you need to send a loud message, to stay clear of it. but there is hypocrisy if rebel groups are allowed to be in there, running, hiding, etc.

Rebels are all one phrase away from ISIS,
It’s a devil you know vs. Devil you dont, they had 30 years quiet on Golan w Bashir.

Reality is Assad winning but Hezy must go now

Sorry, Assad was devil you used to know but not anymore due to Hezbollah and Iran pulling his strings more and let’s not forget Russia too. This guy sold his country out to foreign occupying forces in order to still remain in power even though he will not answer to them and he will be their in their debt puppet.

israel loudly talks about Iran and its threat. Israel never requested regime change in Syria. Israel took care of the Syrian Government when it got out of line. Watch Fauda to bring home the threat that ISIS poses to Israel in Gaza and Judea and Samaria if it replaces Fatah. Same goes for Isis replacing Assad in Syria. This was Obama’s plan for the Middle East. Replace all the power structure with Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS. Trump understands this. Too bad most of the the US media is part of Obama’s treasonous “Resistance”, not to mention the Bush family and the Clinton mafia.

What a delusional dumb f**ck you are. This place is like echo chamber, people want to hear what they want to hear regardless of facts. We recall when an Israel’s military intelligence chief, Major General Herzi Halevy states “Israël does not want to see Isis defeated in Syria.” He then said Israel will do “all we can so as to not find ourselves in such a situation,” suggesting that the Israeli military is looking at direct support for ISIS as a matter of policy, and not just rhetoric.
