IED blast near Somali border kills three Kenyan policemen

A Kenyan police vehicle traveling in a convoy near the Somali border on Wednesday morning hit an improvised explosive device, triggering a blast that left three officers dead. Somalia's Al Shabaab terrorist organization later claimed responsibility for the attack. The incident in northeastern Kenya's Garissa county took place while the three-car patrol was heading toward the border town of Liboi.
