Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz talked by phone Friday night with top US soldier Gen. Martin Dempsey on the situation in Syria, 24 hours after a conversation on the same subject between Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon and US Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.
