Iran captures 27 ISIS-linked terrorists plotting attacks
According to Iran’s intelligence ministry, the detention of 27 suspects linked to an Islamic State group foiled terrorist operations plotted at religious sites in the country. Ten were “detained” at a “control center” outside Iran. The official did not specify what country, only that they were identified in an intelligence tradeoff with “regional services,” that took place ahead of President Hassan Rouhani’s swearing-in ceremony two days ago.
Five of the detainees were said to have been the active attackers, while others were their supporters.
