Iran executes three protesters

Three men, accused of killing security forces during nationwide antigovernment protests last year, were, according to rights groups, first subjected to torture, forced to make public confessions, denied due protest, and finally, executed on Friday.

In the first four months of 2023, Tehran has put 283 people to death, gaining the dubious honor of the second world leader in executions after China.
