Iran quake toll rises to 250 dead, 1,800 injured

The numbers of victims are rising as rescuers reach remote villages and dig through the rubble left by two earthquakes on the 6.4 and 6.3 magnitude on the Richter scale in northwest Iran not far from Tabriz. The town of Ahara in the East Azerbaijan province was struck and many villages flattened.
