Iran reports 24 Rev. Guardsmen killed, 60 injured in Ahvaz terror attack
Iranian media report that at least 24 members of the Revolutionary Guards were killed and 60 injured by gunmen who attacked a military parade in the oil city of Ahvaz on Saturday. Initial Iranian reports described five gunmen as springing out from behind the saluting stand. According to later reports, four terrorists clad in Iranian army uniforms rode in on motorbikes and sprayed the marching Guardsmen along the parade before being shot dead. Iranian Foreign Minister Muhamed Javad Zarif accused “regional elements” supported by the US for the attack, and vowed Iran would strike back swiftly and resolutely.
