Iran sends warship flotilla to seas off Yemen

Iranian Navy's 34th flotilla of warships left Bandar Abbas port for the Gulf of Aden on Wednesday amid reports of heavy fighting for control of the center of Yemen’s port town of Aden. It comprises the Alborz destroyer and Bushehr helicopter-carrier warship, which are assigned to spend three months in the Gulf of Aden and Red Sea off the coast of Yemen. Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari earlier rejected media reports alleging that his country's warships were driven out of the Gulf of Aden by Egyptian warships
