Iran tests its newest ballistic missile

Iran Saturday claimed the successful test of a new medium-range ballistic missile,  in defiance of US warnings and UN Security Council resolutions. The Khoramshahr, which has a range of 1,250 miles (2,000km) was showcased in a military parade in Tehran Friday, at which President Hassan Rouhani vowed the missile program would continue. Airspace chief, Gen. Amir Ahajizadeh of the Revolutionary Guards, which runs the program, is quoted as saying the new missile “can carry several warheads for various uses.” It was also described as carrying in-flight video from its nose cone.
