Iranian drone flies dangerously close to US carrier

An Iranian drone made several passes without navigation lights past the USS Nimitz in international Gulf waters Sunday at dusk, for the second time in a week.  Lt Ian McConnaughey, a spokesman for the Bahrain-based 5th Fleet, said: “Despite repeated radio calls to establish communications and remain clear, the QOM-1's controlling station was unresponsive, creating a dangerous situation with potential for collision.”
