Iranian FM rules out Rouhani-Trump summit

Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohamed Javad Zarif, asked on CBS “Face the Nation” about a possible meeting between the US and Iranian presidents, replied: “Not until President Trump decides whether Hassan Rouhani is “a corrupt dictator, or a lovely man – whichever it is… Negotiations are based on respect.”  Did he believe Trump was a bully? he was asked. “His behavior is such,” the Iranian FM said in an interview aired on Sunday. Regarding US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Zarif said: “He’s made all the wrong moves against Iran. And I believe he has made major mistakes in our region… The United States needs to review its policy for our region.”
