Iranian FM Salehi calls on Assad

Iran’s foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi met Bashar Assad in Damascus Wednesday. He was on his way home from a meeting in Cairo with his Egyptian, Turkish and Iraqi colleagues that was organized by Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi to find a way out of the Syrian crisis. Saudi Arabia and Qatar boycotted the initiative.
