Iranian foreign minister at UNESCO conference in Paris
Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has arrived in Paris to attend UNESCO General Conference and address the session as a special guest. He will meet French FM Laurent Fabius later Tuesday and go to Geneva Wednesday for the next round of nuclear talks with the six powers.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham rejected as “groundless” US Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel’s remarks that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s threats against the Islamic Republic along with economic sanctions pushed Tehran to engage in the talks over its nuclear energy program. She said they will not lead to any policy change in Iran.
