Iranian general killed in East Syrian battle with ISIS
Iranian and Syrian sources publicly admitted Sunday that Iranian Revolutionary Guards officers were active in combat in Syria, with the announcement of the death of Maj.Gen. Mahdi Qarah Mohammadi, commander of the IRGC’s Jundi al-Quds unit, in a battle with ISIS in the Deir ez-Zour region. Seven IRGC soldiers were also killed. DEBKAfile adds: Syrian officials are now making no secret of IRGC combatants being part of their fighting strength against ISIS. This refutes Russian and Israeli assertions that there are no Iranian military forces in the country.
Once upon a time, Israeli Special Forces eliminated Syrian general Solemeini. Now ISIS, eliminated an Iranian enemy. May ISIS continue its work in eliminating more Iranian generals, but not Israeli ones.
Israeli generals are all the time in Israel , so no worry.
Iranian ones are in the battlefields which is the main difference.
This is good news, but not enough!
By the end of the year, the good count should be something like 10 ISIS generals, 10 Syrian, 10 Hezbullah, and ofcourse 10 Iranians.
Have a nice fight!
It’s disturbing if what the article says is true that Israel and Russia deny There are Iranian troops in Syria but Syria admits that there are. Is Israel’s denial just to allow them to side step their redline? I sincerely hope not.
Only morons think Assad does not have Iranian soldiers in Syria like good School boys.
There is nothing Israel can do about it really.
It is common knowledge
They died killing terrorists
So you support terrorists?
