Iranian Navy takes 44 crippled tankers’ crew. One vessel reportedly sinks

Iranian media report that one of the two supertankers hit by explosives in the Gulf of Oman on Thursday has sunk. The same sources report that the 44 crew members who abandoned the two damaged vessels were picked up by the Iranian navy and taken to Iran. These reports are not confirmed by any official sources. They do not specify which of the two supertankers sank or where, or whether the crewmen were “rescued” or being held in Iranian detention.

Diane ..you did three articles..lots of work there..God Bless..
But why say taken if they were rescued? in another article blames Iran even though no one knows what hit them. That at least one ships were under Japan flags while Japans Abe is in Iran..is very suspicious..that torpedo struck..above the waterline makes this a very acrobatic torpedo..good news is..oil about to shoot up..and everybody pointing the finger wins..most peculiar
    Please..

Was there any oil on the ship’s that would damage the environment?

ships, not ship’s. It’s plural, not possessive.

The mullahs are in bed with Russia anyway. They’ll just turn them over and keep the rest for bargaining chips.

The turbaned evil ones also stated that one of “the ships” had sunk. Right so that was a bit premature of them wasn’t it. Obviously the Limpet mine and torpedo are not going to sink any super tankers anytime soon. Maybe they need to try harder?

Well at this stage their object is merely to rattle their swords so that the mainstream media have a go at Israel and the US again, especially when the US in the form of Pompeo has to warn off the Iranians and make Putin take notice by responding to the attacks. The correct, fair and peaceful procedure is to give the other side a chance to come to their senses. Iran could be a vibrant, flourishing economy under the right conditions. If one has tried the peaceful, economic and social welfare approach and and the other side will not play ball, then it all goes to war. The Ayatolahs are foolish in the extreme by not even reading Trump’s offer. That alone indicates that they are unhinged and mad enough to bluff.

Also the Iranian project of combining denial with sneak attacks attacking commercial shipping is not going to endear the mullahs to most countries. It makes it a hard sell for the msm. The reason for all this is that Iran is in an economic straitjacket. The US POTUS recognises the danger with a rogue regime in the region and is calling Irans bluff and the sanctions are biting. Soon there will be hunger riots.

POTUS evidently thinks that it is better to nip the Iranian re-armament and dangerous planned attacks in the bud. They are staring each other out, and by Iran refusing to even read the deal Trump is prepared to make only pushes Iran further towards a real war with the US. It won’t be with boots on the ground because that is not necessary to bring the Ayatollahs to their knees. They are hated by their own people anyway, who long to come back to the 21st Century from the heavily imposed dictatorial lack of freedoms imported from the 6th Century.

But with the die-hard mentality the mullahs have they are risking the lives of their people. If it comes to war the knives will be out. When war starts and the civil order breaks down, a lot of scores are settled. They have literally no idea of the risks they are running.

I also find it interesting that not one word has been mentioned about any oil or ethanol spills anywhere.
