Iran’s FM arrives in Munich for ISSG conference on Syria’s future

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Zarif arrived in Germany on Thursday to participate in the International Syria Support Group (ISSG) conference on ending the 5-year-long Syrian war. German Foreign Minister Frank Steinmeier said earlier this week that the conference, to be held in Munich from February 12-14, would be attended by his Saudi counterpart Adel Al-Jubeir. The gathering will bring together foreign ministers and delegations from many countries, including China, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, the Persian Gulf states, Russia, Lebanon, Britain, and the US, as well as the EU and the UN.
