Iran’s made-up “concession” to the nuclear watchdog

Behrouz Kamalvandi, Iranian Atomic Commission spokesman, said Tuesday that inspectors could visit the construction site of the heavy water reactor in Arak up until Dec. 11, if “the parties agree on the details of the visit.” DEBKAfile: Inspections of Arak were permitted before IAEA Director Yukiya Amano visited Tehran Monday and issued a joint statement with the Iranian nuclear chief Akbar Salehi. However, access was not mentioned to the Parchin military base, which was repeatedly refused to the inspectors to check on suspected nuclear explosion tests.
