Iran’s missile tests are for self-defense and deterrence, Rouhani asserts

On the sidelines of a Cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani claimed that the ballistic missile tests by his country's military are intended for self-defense and deterrence against any attack. "We have had no intention of invading any country, particularly our neighbors, with our missiles and we will not do so, and our arms are (designed) solely to defend our nation and country," he said.
