Iran’s net media shutdown blocks news of anti-government demos

Iranian officials continued Sunday to block Instagram and the messaging app Telegram, for the sake of “maintaining public peace and security.” State media remain the only sources for covering the wave of popular protest against the regime, official corruption and high prices, now in its fifth day.
The CEO of Telegram said Iran is “blocking access [by mobile phone]… for the majority of Iranians” after protesters used the popular app to plan and publicize demonstrations. Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazil said the regime would not tolerate continuing “demonstrations, terror and fear.” Disturbers of the peace and lawbreakers will pay a price, he warned.

President Donald Trump again cheered the protesters by tweeting Sunday: “The people are finally getting wise as to how their money and wealth is being stolen and squandered on terrorism.” It looks like the Iranians “will not take it any longer,” he said adding: “The USA is watching very closely for human rights violations!”

The NAZI’s did the same during WWII people were not allowed to get the real news, only propaganda was allowed. It looks, that this fire will get out of control pretty fast, hopefully we are arming the people on the street so they can defend themselves from the government. I really hope that the body count will not be like in Syria but with these thugs (IRGC) everything is possible. 80M is a large amount of people to control and they will now have an true intifada on their hands, you reap what you sow. How does it taste ayatollahs have a cookie of your own dough, I hope you guys suffocate on it. G’d bless the protesters.

Iran is a huge country with of 80.28 million (2016) and an area of 1.648 million km². It is rich in human and natural resources with a well-educated population. Why are the Islamic-Fascist dictators squandering the wealth of their own people and making wars everywhere? It is for Islamic supremacy, antisemitism and anti “infidel-ism.” Why are they developing nukes (using the permission offered to them on a silver platter by the Obama administration for his Islamist friends and perhaps for some yet unknown bribes in exchange for fealty to the Islamic State of Iran).
