Iran’s nuclear chief reveals new extra-powerful centrifuges
Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Iran’s nuclear commission, revealed Monday the developiment of a new generation of centrifuges [for uranium enrichment] that are 15 to 16 times more powerful than the older types. Therefore, he explained, Iran will not lose anything in nuclear technology as a result of diplomacy with the six powers. The deal they struck in November, he stressed, entitled the Islamic Republic to continue nuclear research and development without any conditions attached.
