Iran’s president to meet Hollande in Paris as European trip continues
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and a delegation including several dozen businessmen arrived in Paris on Wednesday after winding up their visit to Italy. Rouhani and Zarif, making their first trip to the French capital since 1999, met French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and Economy Minister Emmanuel Macron. In their trade talks, the two sides discussed Iran's purchase of 114 Airbus passenger jets, the establishment of a Peugeot factory in Iran that will produce 200,000 cars in 2017, and the purchase of Iranian oil by French energy company Total. Rouhani is expected to meet French President Francois Hollande on Thursday.
