Iran’s production of uranium metal has “no credible civilian use”

Britain, France and Germany jointly voiced deep concern over Iran’s plans to produce uranium metal in view of its “potentially grave military implications.” In 2015 Tehran signed up to a 15-year ban on “producing or acquiring plutonium or uranium metals or their alloys” in its 2015 nuclear deal with the world powers. Tehran accused the nuclear watchdog of creating “unnecessary understandings” by its revelation.
