Iran’s Rev Guards test fire ballistic missiles

The Revolutionary Guards fire-tested several ballistic missiles from silos across Iran Tuesday.  The IRGC’s official website said the test was a show of Iran’s deterrent power against any threat. Two UN Security Council resolutions have barred Iran from any work on nuclear-capable ballistic missiles. DEBKAfile: The simultaneous launch of a number of Emad surface missiles spread out underground sites calls for considerable operational capabilities. The test-firings were intended to impress Israel, the Gulf emirates and Saudi Arabia with Iran’s power to sustain missile attacks against them, even if some of its launching facilities were to be knocked out.
