Iraq reopens Qaim crossing to Syria after 8 years in major win for Iran

The Qaim crossing to Syria was ceremonially declared on Tuesday open to travelers and trade, providing a boost for Iran’s bid to forge a land route from Tehran to Beirut. The Syrian Interior Minister Mohammed Khaled al-Rahmoun said the reopening of the border crossing after eight years of closure would revitalize economic cooperation between Syria and Iraq.  Large numbers of Iran-allied Iraqi Shiite PMU militias control sections of the Iraqi side of the border around Al Qaim in Anbar province, not far from US military bases.

We spend billions on military hardware, we brag that we have the best military in the world, we brag that we are locked and loaded, but when a 3rd world country stands up to us we walk away with our tail between our legs. Our Prez speaks loudly but carries and impotent stick!!

History is measured through time by war. endless confrontation as in survival of the fittest plays out as Darwin figured out. It will never stop, it can’t it is meant to be as it is. The only issue to consider is who wins and loose.
