Iraq suspends 10 TV satellite channels

Media regulators in Baghdad have suspended the licenses of 10 TV channels – domestic and foreign, including al Jazeera – accusing them of coverage that incites more violence after a week in which 170 people died in sectarian unrest. Most of the channels are accused of being pro-Sunni and critical of the Shiite-led government of Nouri al-Malaki.
