Iraqi military forces start moving towards entrances to Fallujah
For the first time in two years, a convoy of Iraqi army armored vehicles was seen on Wednesday moving towards the outskirts of the ISIS-held city of Fallujah, which is just 65 kilometers west of Baghdad. The force of elite troops started a house-to-house operation in the Shuhada suburb. ISIS fighters, who are mainly dug in around the center of the city, are using more than 50,000 residents of Fallujah as human shields from attacks by the Iraqi troops and coalition warplanes.
